Are You A Nice Guy?
Monday, August 11th, 2008I have a client and he’s a really nice guy who owns his own company. The ironic thing is that because he such a nice guy, his business is in trouble. If he put his energy into focusing on his company, what is right for it, saying no and standing up for himself, his business would flourish.
Instead, like many other entrepreneurs, being nice and trusting people has allowed people to take advantage of him. And yes, most of the time, these guys don’t play by the rules. My good guy suffers the loss; financially and emotionally. How many companies out there are run by nice guys who finish last?
